Prima Volunteer Year 6: Growing a Greener Future Through Mangrove Restoration

Prima Marine Public Company Limited continues its commitment to environmental conservation and social responsibility through “Prima Volunteer Year 6,” held at the Mangrove Ecosystem Learning Center, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Bang Khun Thian.

The activity was led by Mr. Prompong Chaisrisawatsuk, Chief Executive Officer of Prima Marine Public Company Limited, together with the Company’s management and employees, as well as students from the Merchant Marine Training Centre, who came together to contribute to mangrove conservation.

Throughout the activity, participants took part in mangrove seedling propagation and planted 2,000 mangrove trees, while also learning about local mangrove plant species and the importance of mangrove ecosystems.

Mangrove forests are more than just green spaces. They provide vital habitats and nursery grounds for aquatic life, help protect coastlines from erosion, support biodiversity, and play an important role in carbon sequestration and maintaining ecological balance.

Through Prima Volunteer Year 6, Prima Marine continues to encourage active participation in environmental conservation, strengthen environmental awareness among employees and the younger generation, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
